Structural/Stress Analysis Engineer (7310)
Requires ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE!! Looking for an experienced Structures Engineer to apply advanced technical principles, theories and technical expertise performing structural analysis and providing technical guidance for various modifications related to the Re-Engine program. Address complex technical problems and provide solutions in structural analysis of aircraft structures and execute final review as well as sign-off of drawings, SMRRs, MDRs, DDC, and EOs to insure compliance with design requirements. Responsibilities include analysis, design support, requirements capture, support of aircraft modification and airworthiness certification. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following minimum duties: Coordinate technical interface with subcontractors and teaming partners including other NGC entities related to structural system design and integration of various systems for the Re-Engine program to satisfy E-8C requirements. Responsibilities include supporting production of documents for proposal submittals (i.e. SSOWs, PSOWs, ICDs etc.) Responsible for interface control with sub-tier supplier design / Engineering. Update / creation of specifications as required in coordination with the Specifications department for updates related to the Re-Engine program. Support ECP development and new business initiatives, including technical inputs to Trade Studies, Statements of Work, Proposals, Drawing Requirements and Estimates. Provide engineering liaison for structures subsystem installations related to the Re-Engine program. Required Qualifications: 1. Finite Element Modeling (FEM) - Patran, FEMAP, & NASTRAN. Capable of developing linear, nonlinear, modal, and contact models; Familiarity with Nastran solutions 101, 103, 106, 107, 600 in support of various tasks related to Re-Engine program. 2. Airworthiness Qualification - Review and development of structural related artifacts (delivered by Re-Engine sub-tier suppliers) supporting MACC airworthiness certification achievement (includes interface with ASC subject matter experts to achieve MACC approval). 3. Damage Tolerance - Damage tolerance in support of aircraft structures. Familiarity with AFGROW preferred. 4. ECS - Perform structural analysis of ECS ducting in support of a new Pneumatic system for the Re-Engine modification. 5. Loads development - Develop loads to be applied to finite element models using output from TN3030 and CFD analysis programs as well as develop program specifications and requirements. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple tasks in parallel, and must possess strong verbal/written communication skills and be capable of presenting Structural issues / products to internal management and to the government. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field with 10 or more years experience with the above skills. Secret clearance is required. NOTE: Requires ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
